DebateDrills debaters cut some of the best prep in the nation - I often noticed that other teams would read our own arguments even when they would debate against us. I strongly recommend joining the DebateDrills team - it will turn your debate career around for the better.

Prior to joining the DebateDrills team, I didn’t have substantial topic specific prep and cases. My prep consisted of making one case for the topic and trying to compile as many blocks as possible for that case. After joining the team, the amount of prep I had access to and the sheer amount of evidence that I could use during the tournament increased significantly.

I did not have a coach or access to a coaching service before joining the DebateDrills team. I was an independent debater who mainly went to lay tournaments. My school team was unorganized and did not have a coach. I only began doing circuit debate because of the support I received from DebateDrills.

Because of the resources I had access to, my prep for and knowledge about each topic immensely increased. Joining the team helped me understand how to effectively prep for a topic, how to write better cases, and how to use extensive backfiles and blocks to my advantage. I became more familiar with topic-specific prep and critical literature because of the evidence and cases that were in the Dropbox and the backfiles. Not only did I gain a competitive edge over other debaters on the circuit, but I also learned how to become a better researcher by watching and learning from my coaches and teammates.

By far the best benefit of joining the team was having access to the prep. DebateDrills debaters cut some of the best prep in the nation - I often noticed that other teams would read our own arguments even when they would debate against us. I think learning how to cut that high quality evidence and being able to read it in round was a huge advantage.

Another major benefit of joining the team was how organized and systematic the entire Dropbox was. We had a naming and file organization system that made it very easy to find files under high-pressure in debate rounds. This was especially useful because the ability to access evidence quickly and efficiently in a round can often make or break your chances of winning that debate.

I strongly recommend joining the DebateDrills team - it will turn your debate career around for the better. You will have a learning experience you have never had before and will start winning more rounds. Joining the team is a privilege that I don’t recommend you take for granted. Everyone on the team worked hard together to cut the prep, to do the research, and compile the blocks. It is, at the end of the day, a team effort, even if the wins and losses are individual.
