Mike has been active in the debate community since 2008 as both a competitor and a Coach. After a successful high school Policy and LD debate career, Coach Mike entered Naval service as a Corpsman. While serving on active duty, he coached a variety of skills levels from novices to National Qualifiers and TOC bid earners. After exiting the service, Coach Mike earned his B.S. in Natural Resource Ecology with a focus in Wildlife, with honors and a scientific publication for undergraduate research from Arizona State University. With a hunger for education, Coach Mike then received his Masters of Legal Studies in Environmental Law from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. Currently, by-day, Coach Mike is an Enforcement Officer with the Environmental Protection Agency and is working on a Masters in Geospatial Intelligence from Johns Hopkins University’s Advanced Academic Programs.  By-night, Coach Mike has brought his diverse and deep pool of knowledge to DebateDrills to help the next generation of debate students reach their goals.
