Neval competed in Public Forum at Milpitas High School in the California Bay Area. While in high school, she served as team captain, coached the junior varsity team, and helped host several home tournaments. Neval qualified to the Tournament of Champions in her sophomore year and amassed numerous bids throughout her career. She was invited to several prestigious round robins, including the California and King Round Robins. As an instructor, she places a strong emphasis on weighing mechanisms and in-round strategy and prefers a technique-heavy style of debate.

Neval currently attends Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service with a major in International Politics and a minor in Chinese.
