Nathan debated at Millard North High School for three years on the national circuit, earning seven career TOC bids and breaking as a junior. Nathan has been in late elimination rounds of Valley, Apple Valley, Peninsula, and the Digital Debate Series. In debate, his is interest are mostly policy and kritik oriented.
