Spencer is the 2025 CEDA National tournament, the 2026 CEDA runner-up and recipient of a First Round At-Large Bid to the NDT. In high school, he was a two-time TOC participant ranked #5 on the Policy Debate Coaches’ Poll. He has coached policy debate for four years, helping students grow at a levels, from their novice year to 5+ bids. He is a highly accomplished coach of K debate, but also enjoys policy-style debate. He is interested in helping students deeply and ethically engage with their arguments and the world around them. He graduated from the University of Iowa in 2026 with degrees in Linguistics and Communication Studies.
