Roy debated at Fairmont Prep in Anaheim, California. Across his career, he was ranked as high as 2nd in California, and 7th in the nation via tabroom and the NSDA website. Roy qualified to the Gold Tournament of Champions 2 times, and reached elimination rounds at 23 tournaments, accumulating 11 bids in the process. He co-captained a Fairmont squad that had 3 teams ranked in the top 10 in the nation, and privately coached 3 teams to their first TOC qualifications, also leading to one debater finaling at Stanford. Roy specializes in traditional PF flow debate, K debate and hyper tech substance debate.
